United Express is dedicated to making sure your travel experience at the Johnstown Airport is a positive one. The Johnstown Airport terminal is open daily from 4:30 AM-12:00 PM. The terminal closes approx. 1 hour after the last flight arrives. The Terminal is not opened 24 hours. Travel tips!
- Book your flights at least 3 weeks in advance. Fares increase closer to your departure date.
- When you find a good fare, book it! Fares can change several times a day.
- Book directly through the airline’s website. If ticket prices change between bookings and departure the difference can usually be refunded.
- Direct booking also allows better seats and ways to address flight delays, changes, or cancellations.
Parking at the Airport
Johnstown Airport offers free parking just steps from the terminal. The parking area accommodates 200+ vehicles and is monitored and well-lit for safety. You can feel safe and secure using our free, long-term parking.
Ticket and Flight Information
All flights to and from our airport are via United Express. With flights to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Dulles International (IAD), our airport offers you easy access to any destination, domestic or international. Passengers are encouraged to arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure. This gives you plenty of time to park, check-in and pass through the security checkpoint. Baggage
Each passenger is allowed to board with one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop computer). Passengers are also able to board with a carryon, depending on the ticket purchase there may or may not be a charge for the carryon. All other baggage must be checked. It is best to keep ALL medication, undeveloped film, cameras and other delicate items in your personal item or carry-on bag to avoid damage by screening equipment.

Security

Within the airport terminal you will have access to complimentary water and coffee and also find vending machines for snacks and drinks. This includes a machine after the TSA checkpoint for beverages during flight.
